故事简介 | The Story

美美在新加坡出生，从没有见过外公外婆。外公和外婆从中国来新加坡，给美美带来了礼物，给美美做好吃的东西，陪美美搭积木、捉迷藏、画画，美美捉弄外公，外公用胡子扎她……

虽然没有像姐姐那样从小就和外公外婆在一起生活，但不知不觉中，两代人的亲情慢慢升温。离别之际，才知道原来很多东西，远远不是距离所能隔断的。

Meimei was born in Singapore and has never met her grandparents. When Grandpa and Grandma come all the way from China to visit her, they bring her gifts, cook her delicious food, and spend their days building blocks, playing hide-and-seek, and drawing together. Meimei plays little tricks on Grandpa, and Grandpa tickles her with his prickly beard…

Unlike her older sister, Meimei did not grow up with Grandpa and Grandma by her side. Yet little by little, a special bond begins to grow between them.

It is only when the time comes to say goodbye that they realize some bonds are simply too strong for distance to keep apart.

外婆的牙是假的，每天晚上都要拿下来洗一洗。

外婆转过身问美美：“还认识外婆吗？”

美美睁大眼睛：“咦，好奇怪！外婆怎么不一样了？”

Grandma’s teeth aren’t real. Every night, she takes them out and gives them a good clean.

Grandma turns around and asks Meimei, “Do you still recognize me?”

Meimei’s eyes grow wide. “Huh? That’s so strange! Grandma, you look different!”
